As a Martian might.

An alien on Earth might make no judgement about an oncoming car, some rule of thirds, or invasions of individual privacy. For it, time will likely measure differently, if at all, while aromas parade across the visible spectrum. I make these images as a Martian might.

My sulking state-of-the-art camera is constructed for faithful reproduction of the human world, but I defy its modes and buttons made for satisfying an anthropocentric desperation for verisimillitude. For this project, I ignore its aiming frame, its notion of right and down, and penchant for the frozen moment. This series of works is my attempt to hint at, to validate, a democracy of alternate ontologies.
